Patronicity Campaign A Huge Success

Last week the Patronicity campaign concluded with great results. The campaign’s goal was to raise $25,000 dollars toward building a community rooftop deck and to purchase new AV equipment for use inside The Alger. The open air, public patio will be available for people to host meetings, see live music, or simply to gather. The first public space of its kind on East Warren, the rooftop will help anchor the neighborhood by making it more welcoming for residents and visitors.

With the start of the campaign we received a commitment from Michigan Economic Growth Corporation for a matching $25,000 if we reached our goal.

We are happy to inform you that with the end of the campaign we reached our goal of $25,000 and received the match from MEGC along with a bonus match from “Watchmen Ink” for all donations made from September 28th to the end of the campaign.

The Final number for money raised came out to 260 donors (including the two matching donations) for a grand total of $52,352.

With this amount, we are well on our way to creating a wonderful outdoor community space and toward obtaining equipment for use inside The Alger.

Thank you to all those who generously donated!
