Help us to save a treasure! The Friends of the Alger Theater is a group of dedicated volunteers and generous community members, both business and residents. But we need your help to save this treasure. We all bring something unique to the table, be it our TIME, TALENT, or TREASURE.

The Friends of the Alger Theater know that a community consisting of strong neighborhoods thrives through the shared visions, commitments, and the hard work of its stakeholders. Although the individual motivations may vary, residents and businesses of our East Side Detroit neighborhoods share a vested interest in the overall health of the community.

Professional expertise, financial backing, hard work, and a dedication to improvement--these are the assets that the Friends need to help achieve our goal of a revitalized Alger serving as a source of cultural enrichment and economic development.
